This demo was created for Amica Insurance, who was looking for an Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) list management system to fulfill government compliance. The screening process as of 2018 was manual, and different departments used different tools to complete the screening process. Amica was looking for a list management tool that can be used across business units. The OFAC Specially Designated Nationals List (SDN) is open to the public, so for this demo the SDN lists were downloaded and configured in the Screener application and called “TestList.”
Spectrum Screener enables organizations to utilize one system across different business units. For example, the HR department might only need to regularly screen their employees against the OFAC list, while the Claims department has their internal black list to record people they do not want to do business with. Spectrum Screener fulfills the customization needs from different business units. Moreover, the role-based authentication enables the possibility to view only alerts that happened by a designated party group. The simplicity of configuration enables each business unit to configure what’s relevant to them. Spectrum Screener can also be applied to Financial Crimes and Compliance (FCC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) use cases.
